This won’t be the first, or the last, blog you read from every business you ever had any contact with, but I feel it’s important to put out an update as to how Raccoon is dealing with the impact of this virus, and to reassure you that we are still here.
Amidst all the personal suffering and challenges of being isolated from the people we love, it is a fact that the global events business has ground to a halt. The lifeblood of our industry, which is all about bringing people together for connection, education and sharing has been closed down for the foreseeable future, while our personal and working lives have been shifted to the digital sphere. Our business has taken a hit, with all bookings cancelled or postponed, so if that’s also your situation, we understand what you are going through.
I know many of you will be able to pivot your businesses online, and those of your clients, but nothing can replace the power of live events and human contact.
Our Work.
Due to the government restrictions, all live events and gatherings of more than 2 people have been cancelled or postponed. This has meant that we haven’t had a shoot for several weeks, but we are taking bookings for the summer onwards. Any bookings will be completely flexible, allowing you to change dates as the situation evolves.
One area of photography that can continue is studio work. We have a number of photographers with fully equipped studios at home who can shoot in isolation your products or pack shots that can be sent to them. Get in touch if we can help you with this.
New Projects.
This is a great time to take new projects into pre-production and I’m sure your teams are working hard to line up new events and content strategy. We are here to assist in that planning as our office remains open and available for quotes and creative thinking.
We can assist with repurposing existing material as we have access to every photograph and video content we’ve ever delivered to you.
With everyone connected to their screens for the next few months, great visual content has never been so important. As you continue to connect with your audiences, we can utilise your existing work to create fresh messaging.
