Food and drink photography for your bar, restaurant or hotel.
The Raccoon food and drink photography team have experience working with a huge variety of food and drink related businesses - from restaurants and cafes to hotels, bars, airport lounges, food bloggers and influences and food technology companies. Their work is featured in industry magazines, editorial features and websites and social media. We can take on advertising, editorial and packaging briefs creating finely produced studio shoots through to energetic on-location capturing of events and chefs at work in the kitchen.
Experienced food and beverage photographers in London
Amongst our team of around 50 London and internationally based photographers we have a selection of photographers who focus solely on high end food and drink photography capturing food and drinks either within a studio environment or on location in your bar, restaurant or hotel - or location house. As well as photographers we also have videographers who can create content for your website, marketing or social media channels. We have a consistent Raccoon style which means the images are treated in post production for a high end finish.
What makes a good food photographer?
As well as the obvious technical experience required to enable our photographers to capture a range of product and locations a good food photographer must have the ability to see a scene in a more creative way. Bringing different elements, colours and textures together for a layered and interesting image. They will have a good awareness of usage of props and food styling - or have the ability to work closely with a dedicated food stylist to ensure that the food is presented in the most attractive and mouthwatering way.
Often a photographer will recommend introducing a human element to bring to life the food - whether that is in the kitchen with a chef preparing or plating up the food or adding final touches, or a mixologist creating a drink with flare, a waiter serving or a consumer eating the meal or atmosphere of the venue.
Styles have changed in recent years so that we no longer look for absolutely perfectly style plates but rather a sense of energy and movement that comes with the introduction of a human element and the food being enjoyed with the table being slightly messy. Similarly food tends to be photographed as it is - straight from the kitchen and as quickly as possible whilst the food is still hot and fresh. Real, raw and authentic.
Some shoots will offer less of a controlled environment than others - if for example our photographer is required to be capturing behind the scenes of a chef and their team in the kitchen. Our team work quickly and discretely and are confident in any fast paced situation to follow a brief.
How much editing is required after the shoot?
After the shoot (or during the shoot) you will have the opportunity to view the wider selection of images in order to make your selection of final images for editing. The final images will be colour corrected, cropped and photoshopped as required to ensure the final images are perfect, look delicious and eye-catching and ready for use.
Matching the right photographer to your project
We have a number of photographers specialising in food and drink and hospitality photography. The range of skills required include product, portrait and interiors to ensure that the full story of a business is captured.
Why should you use an agency for your photography?
Raccoon London was established in 2008 and over the last 15 years we have photographed thousands of events and projects for our clients which range from private individuals through to some of the world’s largest businesses. In 2018 we expanded our operations to Europe and Worldwide to build our team overseas. As a result we are able to service the needs of clients based in the UK but have operations globally to ensure a consistency of style in the output but also take on the management and production of the media elements of an event for our clients.
We have a full time support operations staff based in London so are readily contactable even when our photographers are out on shoots. We have an extensive network of creatives and can check availability quickly and deliver quotes within hours of an enquiry.
With a large photography team we can ensure that any issues due to travel or sickness can be covered hastily without any concerns for yourself.
We also have a large production network to cater for larger shoots that might require drone operators, sound and lighting, hair and make up, stylists and studios plus onsite editors for fast turnarounds. We can handle every aspect of the production for you.
