Marie Claire. Manchester Photographer
Marie-Claire became a photographer by accident. She initially picked up a camera in 2006 as a tool to help with memory issues and her mental health - it turned out she was actually really talented and also really loved it. After sharing a few images on social media, the requests to photograph gigs, weddings and events started pouring in and she subsequently set up her first company in 2008.
Marie-Claire adores photographing people. She uses her images to tell stories and capture the energy and spirit of the people and events she photographs. She’s photographed hundreds of people, events and weddings, and her work has taken her all over the UK, Europe and North America.
Her style is vibrant, colourful and fun. She’s great with people and can read the room perfectly. Clients have said ‘She manages to capture the absolute essence of a person, makes everyone feel at ease in front of a camera, and is frankly a delight to have around!’ and that ‘It’s like she can sense the moment before it happens!’ She’s also regularly called a ‘creative genius’.
When she’s not out photographing, she spends her time facilitating workshops, coaching for creative and neurodiverse business owners, mentoring young people with mental health and emotional wellbeing issues, public speaking and running a membership community to help people build their confidence and live life more courageously. She also works with young people with physical and learning disabilities helping them build confidence and wellbeing skills.
