“The use of instant film brings me so much joy because of the unpredictability of it all.
You slow down whilst using instant film. Going slow is to ensure you get the shot right. Digital cameras allow you more room for error. Instant cameras are usually clunky.
You need to know your machine inside out to enable you to work to the best of your ability. You need to know all of the quirks of the settings and how they'll impact the outcome. But in reality, you can never know what the image will look like.
My clients also love the results. Seeing how much excitement and happiness instant film brings people is also one of the main reasons why I love shooting it so much.”
