Mathias is a London-based travel photographer specialising in visual rebranding and storytelling for destinations worldwide.
Inspired by the aesthetics of filmmaking, his photography uses a strong cinematic element to reinvigorate destinations' identities with striking visual essays that transcend conventional travel imagery. His work has appeared in National Geographic, CNN Travel, Bradt Guides, South China Morning Post and various online magazines.
A former film director, Mathias has made four narrative short films and one feature-length documentary, which collectively received over 40 festival selections and several awards across five continents.
